Austin Spurs and Ghana Center Amida Brimah was involved in his team’s 129-105 win over Reno Bighorns in the NBA’s Gatorade League.
The win at the Reno Events Center in Nevada is Spurs third win of the season in four games; the team’s sole loss was against Texas Legends.
Former University of Connecticut Captain Brimah had featured in two games prior to the winning game over Reno but his time on the court peaked at 12 minutes.
However, he played 17 minutes against Bighorns and registered six points, two rebounds and a blocked shot in the win.
He showed further improvement protecting the ball as he registered no turnovers but dealt with fouls again as he committed three in the game.
Forward Darrun Hiliard led the Spurs in scoring with 27 points closely followed by fellow Forward Jaron Blossomgame with 26 points.
Reno had 2016 NBA Draft lottery pick Georgios Papagiannis pour in 13 points, seven rebounds and two blocks in 26 minutes.
