2017 Tema Basketball League Most Valuable Player Aninagyei Osei has pointed put his teammates as the reason behind his success in the just ended season.

The Tema Community 4 Point Guard came up tops in the highest individual award of the campaign after a dominant season with the newly crowned league champions.

He beat the likes of Ashaiman Lions duo Elvis Pobi-Siaw and Carl Kuzagbe, Nungua Coldstore Forward Kwame Boamah Djan and Center Enoch Borsah to the award.

Speaking to Basketballghana.com exclusively after leading C4 to beat Lions 47-38 and clinch this year’s league title, Osei praised his teammates for their valiant contribution:

“Its just an amazing feeling just blessings from God. My teammates helped me out as always they help me to be a great player…I don’t play alone. I thank God for the talent he has given me for me to display all these skills” he said.

He also pointed out his best game in the season was in Game 2 of the first round postseason against Ghana Navy where he singled handedly led C4’s epic comeback to progress.

Winning the award marks Osei’s second top individual win after achieving a similar feat in last year’s Ebi Bright Tournament.
