Braves of Customs Female Side has been involved in an international friendly game against Dolphins Basketball Club in Nigeria.

The Ghana side lost 48-52 to Dolphins in the fixture which had either team representing the two countries who are a long standings rivalry.

Dolphins held a comfortable advantage over Braves but a strong finish in the final minutes of the second quarter and the third quarter had the Ghanaian side close the gap.

However, Dolphins held on to record the four point win; reports gathered by Basketballghana.com indicate a replay will be honored today.

The Nigerian side ended this year’s Zenith Women’s Basketball League Championship in fourth place behind winners First Bank, First Deepwater and IGP Queens.

Braves on the other hand, have dominated the Ghanaian scene for an extensive period and ended the season as Champions again.

The team however is in Nigeria without Center Matilda Gordon who is nursing an ankle injury sustained prior to the team’s departure.

Gordon, the reigning Ghana Basketball Awards Most Valuable Player missed the entire season with a knee injury. Braves Male side is competing in the FIBA Africa Zone 3 Club Championship.
