Alhassan.

Ghana’s representative at the ongoing FIBA Africa Zone 3 Club Championship qualifiers Braves of Customs, have lost 57-84 to Gombe Bulls.

The loss is the Ghanaian outfit’s first in the competition in two games following a 75-61 win over Benin side Aspac in the opening game.

Braves missed out on a second straight win in the tournament which is taking place in Lagos, Nigeria which has four teams competing at the games.

The 27 point loss was described by veteran Forward Richard Borsah “as a bad day in the office” for his charges.

Losing to the Bulls comes prior to Braves tie against Civil Defence at 16:00 GMT; the latter beat Aspak 74-66.

Braves are Ghana’s sole representative at the sub regional games and are vying for one of two spots at the main championship.

Defending champions Kano Pillars will be in action against Aspac at 14:00 GMT. The West African tournament ends on Saturday November 12 and Braves hope to feature on the final day of the competition.
