Head Coaches of Eastern Region Representatives at the upcoming Sprite Ball Championship will make an appearance on popular basketball television show “Courtside” later today.

Pope John Senior High School and Koforidua Secondary Technical School (KSTS) will represent the region in next year’s national high school basketball competition which takes place from January 4-6 at the El Wak Stadium.

James Okine and Albert Djan are expected to grace the set today and share their experiences through the qualifying campaign to Ghana’s biggest basketball tournament.

Both will be quizzed by Anchor Yaw Sakyi Afari about their expectations for the upcoming tournament which neither has won.

Pope John beat KSTS 31-30 in the final game to lift the regional title for the second straight year without dropping a game.

Both teams secured passage to the national games qualifying to the regional finals; KSTS beat St. Paul’s in the semifinal 31-16 while Pope John survived a tough low scoring game against St. Peter’s to win 14-13.

Courtside airs on Kwese Free Sport today from 16:00-18:00 GMT.
