St. Augustine’s beat Insaniyya 31-24 in the male competition.
Reigning Sprite Ball Female Champions Wesley Girls High School has stated its intent to defend the national title by blitzing unknown Adankwaman Senior High School.

Wesley Girls hammered Adankwaman 26-0 in the opening game of the 2017 Central Region al High School Basketball Qualifiers.

The qualifying games are taking place at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape-Coast to determine which teams represent the region at the next edition of Ghana’s National High School Basketball Tournament-Sprite Ball.

The upcoming Sprite Ball Championship takes place from January 4-6, 2018 at the El Wak Stadium in Ghana’s capital, Accra.

Wesley Girls run over Adankwaman right from jump ball scoring on the first possession to signal what was to come in the remainder of the game.

Gey Hey ended the first half with a 16-0 lead and followed it up with a 10-0 second half lead to end the contest without conceding a basket.

The team needs another win to qualify to the semifinals and a step closer to a return to the national spotlight.
