The 2017 Sprite Ball Trophy Tour has commenced in thrilling fashion as thousands thronged to see the most coveted high school trophy in Ghana.

The Tour Train touched base in Ghana’s Eastern Regional capital Koforidua early this morning per information reaching Basketballghana.com

Koforidua Senior High Technical School (KSTS) was the first point of call as the glittering trophy was put on display before a huge gathering.

Students and teachers got the chance to take photos with the prized trophy ahead of the national championship due to be held in at the El Wak Stadium in Accra from January 4-6, 2018.

KSTS will compete at the event after placing second at the regionals with arch rival Pope John Senior High placing first.

The Eastern Region Champions will be the next stop for the tour entourage before heading to Volta Region later today.

A special clinic will be organized for players set to compete in the upcoming competition in order to improve their skill level in several nuances of the game.
