Qualifying games to decided teams for next year’s Sprite Ball Championship have ended with Great Accra Region being the final point.

Games in Ghana’s capital region were played this past weekend at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) and Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC-Legon).

Six schools topped the male and female divisions and will represent the region at the main competition which runs from January 4-6, 2018.

St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High, Sacred Heart Senior High and PRESEC-Osu will be part of 16 teams in the boys division at the national games including reigning champions Opoku Ware School.

Two time National Champions Sacred Heart Senior High School headlines Accra reps in the girls division with Accra Wesley Girls and West Africa Senior High Schools qualifying alongside respectively.

PRESEC-Legon failed to qualify with the team falling in line with Tema Senior High School and Achimota School as big weights that failed to progress beyond the regional level.

The Sprite Ball Championship takes place from January 4-6, 2018 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
