Fourth placed team in the 2017-2018 Global Sporting Platform (GSP) Basketball League season Desert Rabbits will be involved in a tough game at the weekend.

The Rabbits take on Barracks Scorpions at the Eusbett Court in Sunyani on Saturday December 16 with the latter in fifth place.

The teams head into the fixture with contrasting fortunes as Scorpions are on a two game losing run after a brilliant start to the campaign.

Barracks got trashed 22-75 by LIR Royals in the last round bringing the team’s record to two losses in three games.

On the other hand, Rabbits clinched their first win of the season thanks to a 45-15 battering of tertiary side Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG Saints).

The big result recorded by Rabbits puts them ahead of Scorpions who suffer the consequences of a heavy blow out to LIR.

The tie is one of two big matchups this weekend which has University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) taking on Suncity Braves. UENR leads the standings with six points from three games same as Braves.
