West Africa Senior High School Headmaster Edison Osei Gyamera has responded to Ahantaman Senior High School’s intent to win the upcoming Sprite Ball Championship.

Gyamera stated his school has ambitions of winning the female division at the anticipated Championship to celebrate WASS’ 70th Anniversary.

However, Ahantaman’s Head Mercy Ocloo stated during the Sprite Ball Trophy Tour of the Western Region, her school is wants to win the female division of the competition to commemorate its 70th Anniversary later in 2018.

During the Greater Accra Region leg of the tour, Gyamera rebutted Ocloo by stating his school is already 70 and wants to win the championship to climax the celebrations.

“My understanding is that Ahantaman says they want to win the cup to celebrate their 70th anniversary but am saying that we celebrated our 70th anniversary last year and so we are waiting for this cup to climax it” he said.

WASS will represent Greater Accra region alongside Accra Wesley Girls High School at the next year’s Sprite Ball Championship which tips off at next year’s Sprite Ball Championship which tips off from January 4-6, 2018 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
