Ghana Forward was front and center of Champagne Chalons Reims shock win in the French League Pro A; Reims beat Pau-Lacq-Orthez 77-69.

The win ends Reims four game losing run and is a big boost for a side that headed to the fixture with just a win in six games after a brilliant start to the season.

Bentil led the charge with a 20 point, 13 rebound double double for his side adding two assists and a steal to his impressive production line.

The Sekondi-born player’s performance was a throwback to his days with Providence College where he consistently registered double digit numbers in rebounds and points.

Beating Pau-Lacq, who rank 10th in the 18 team standings, moves Reims three places up from 16th to 13th in the standings and improves its record to six wins and eight losses for the season.

Reims finished in 16th place last season narrowly missing relegation and faces Gravelines at home on Wednesday December 27.

The team needs its prized offseason signing Bentil to maintain his high caliber performance to make a run at securing a playoff spot.
