The tournament which tipped off early this month is the preseason competition for the upcoming Tema Basketball League season.
Lions and C2 have made it to the finals after progressing from the group stage and scoring semifinal wins over Francophone Stars and Ghana Police respectively.
Ashaiman piped Francophone 42-41 in the opening semifinal tie before Community 2 clinched a 48-34 over Police in the final game of the round.
Both teams clinch spots in the finals at the expense of a rich field which had teams like Tema Heat, Ghana Navy, Tema Rockets and Akatsi Rifles compete.
Interestingly, tonight’s finalists competed in the postseason of the immediate past league campaign as both teams lost to eventual champions Tema Community 4.
The winner of tonight’s tie replaces Nungua Coldstore following the latter’s win at the last edition; Coldstore pulled out of this edition.
