Ahantaman (white) beat Wesley Girls

Ahantaman Girls Senior High School has delivered a top performance to beat defending Sprite Ball Championship female Champions Wesley Girls High School.

The team beat Wesley Girls 12-8 in an exciting matchup in Group A with a top exhibition far departed from what panned out in a loss to T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School.

The win is Ahanataman’s second win of the competition and puts them in line to progress from the group which Accra Wesley Girls Senior High School.

On the other hand, Wesley Girls title defense is in serious jeopardy following the loss as it marks Wesley Girls second of the tournament.

In Group B, Awudome Senior High School went past Nkawkaw Senior High School 29-11 in the latter school’s first of two games for the day.

Nkawkaw later fell 8-18 to Kumasi Girls High School in the follow up game with Kumasi clinching its third straight win of the competition.

The knockout stage of the competition takes place on January 6.
