Basketballghana.com can confirm reigning Sprite Ball Male Division Champions Presbyterian Senior High School (Osu-PRESEC) will meet GA Mantse His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II today at his residence in Jamestown.
The newly crowned Champions of Ghana’s most celebrated high school basketball competition are set to meet His Majesty after topping the recently held competition at the El Wak Stadium in Ghana’s capital, Accra.
The visit forms part of PRESEC’s trophy tour which has seen the all conquering team pay a courtesy call on Accra Metropolitan Director of Education Magdalene Frempong.
The school has planned similar visits to Accra Metropolitan Assembly Boss Mohammed Sowah and National Presbyterian Officials.
PRESEC won this year’s Sprite Ball Championship after beating Mfantsipim School 25-22 in the final game; the win was PRESEC’s second straight win in the competition over the record winners of the competition.
PRESEC’s beat Mfantsipim 45-14 in the opening game of the competition before going on to clinch the title without suffering a loss.
PRESEC’s win is the first for Greater Accra Region in the division since 2009.
