Reports reaching Basketballghana.com indicate Tema Community 4 is in line to play its maiden competition later this month since 2017.
The team is yet to play a game since winning last year’s Tema Basketball League courtesy a 2-0 finals series win over Ashaiman Lions.
However, the team pulled out of competing in the Campaign Tournament little over a month after the win; the competition was held in December.
But rumors are rife another competition is in the works with a scheduled start date later this month and will have C4 compete.
The 2018 Tema League is set to commence in March and organizing another tournament prior to the start of the league division will be viewed as another tune up competition.
Should C4 follow through on the development, fans will finally get the chance to see the reigning Tema League champions in action.
League sides including Ghana Police, Nungua Coldstore and Ashaiman Lions are reported to be interested in competing in the tournament. Like C4, 2016 League Champions Coldstore withdrew from the Campaign Tournament.
