CUCG (white and Black gear) in action.
Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints opened Week 6 round of Global Sporting Platform (GSP) Basketball League games at the Eusbett Court in Sunyani.

The team played against fellow tertiary side Sunyani Technical University (STU) but ended losing 7-49 to extend its losing run in this season’s competition to six.

Barracks Scorpions made a dream start in its game against former league winners Suncity Braves courtesy a 17-10 first half lead.

However, Braves stormed back to take control of the game and earn a 49-20 win to earn its fifth win in six games in this year’s competition.

Desert Rabbits didn’t have to do much to win its game against West Siders as the latter team failed to turn up for the game leading to a walkover win for Rabbits.

The biggest game of the round took place in the wee hours of the Sunyani night as defending league champions University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) played against LIR Royals.

Heading to the game led the standings with Royals in second place but got stunned by LIR who walked out with a 23-18 win.
