Tema West and C12 (yellow) in action. gathers plans are far advanced to have wheelchair basketball players be frequently present at more able bodied competitions.

This according to Ghana’s Wheelchair Federation Media Coordinator Sandy Asiedu who doubles as official for the Tema Basketball League.

In an interview with Ghana’s leading basketball portal, Asiedu stated the aim is for players of the wheelchair basketball community to be more visible.

“We will see our men in wheelchair gracing the Tame Court in curtain raisers from time to time…an opportunity to fraternize with the able bodied basketball players. Its mu idea to make sure we foster a great relationship with each other since it’s the same game with the only difference being the wheelchair” he said.
