Wisconsin International University College has triumphed over Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) in a big way.
Wisconsin beat GIMPA 57-25 in the second game in Zone 6 of the ongoing Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.
The games are taking place Accra Technical University (ATU) but Wisconsin made itself at home by clinching a morale boosting win.
The new look Wisconsin side looked imperious for long stretches in the game and was aided by GIMPA’s careless acts with the ball.
The win is Coach Albert Djan’s first win with Wisconsin after signing with the team ahead of the renowned annual competition.
Wisonsin’s win puts the side in a good spot to contend for the zone’s top spot and a place in the next round of the Championship.
ATU play against Wisconsin in the next round while GIMPA take on Valley View University; the latter game features teams that lost in the first round
On the other hand, Wisconsin’s tie against Accra Technical has winners in the first round face off.
