Defending champions University of Ghana (UG), Ghana Technology University College, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology have been drawn in Group A.
Group B has All Nations University College, Sunyani Technical University, Accra Technical University (ATU) and University of Education-Winnebea (UEW).
With the games set to be played at UG from April 12-14, two time winners ATU is aiming at a third title and the end to UG’s two year run as champions.
ATU needs to clinch one of two top spots in the group to progress to the semifinals to battle for a spot in the final game. However, the team needs to go through UEW before.
UEW and ATU played in the 2011 UPAC Final; ATU won the contest via a win to clinch the maiden UPAC title.
The two are widely tipped to progress beyond the group.
