Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Male Basketball Team has been drawn in a tough group for the 2018 UPAC Basketball national competition.

KNUST is in Group A alongside defending champions University of Ghana (UG), Ghana Technology University College (GTUC) and Takoradi Technical University (TTU).

The participating teams will battle for semifinal and final spots in this year’s Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship from April 12-14.

Ahead of the competition, KNUST Forward/Center Kitson Jojo Quashie has issued a warning to teams in the group.

Speaking to Basketballghana.com, he said, “This UPAC is going to be a tough one for those who are coming to compete with us”.

Quashie represented Ghana at the 2017 Basketball Without Borders program in Johannesburg, South Africa and is confident ahead of the games.

KNUST topped Zone 5 in the preliminary stage to make it to the national competition beating the likes of Garden City University College and rival side Kumasi Technical University.
