Ghana Navy’s Basketball Team will not compete in the 2018 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Season per reports gathered by Basketballghana.com

This means Navy’s Male and Female Basketball Teams won’t be able to build on their respective performances in the Men’s Division I and Female Division.

The shock news has ruled Navy out of the upcoming season’s competition which has a new start date following the postponement of the original date a few days backs.

The 2018 ABL season tips off later tonight at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu with a game involving Tudu Galaxy and Dunks at 18:00 GMT.

Navy’s male side was scheduled to be in action at the same venue against defending champions Braves of Customs in the opening game.

However, due to the absence of Navy, the game will not take place as planned. Braves are defending champions in the male and female divisions heading to this season.

While Navy’s male side fared poorly and clinching a sole win last season, its female side fared better and finished in the top three.
