Lions v Heat (white)

Tema Heat went through three straight games without a loss but the streak came unstuck against Ashaiman Lions in the latest round of games.

Week 4 ties ended over the weekend at Tema’s Community 4 Court which had past league winners Nungua Coldstore and Community 4 and Francophone Stars clinch respective wins.

Lions beat Heat 52-42 in the standout matchup in the round turning a four point first quarter deficit with a big second quarter display.

Heading to the third quarter with a 26-16 first half lead, Ashaiman increased its lead to 11 points on the back of strong shooting from three point range.

Lions Shooting Guard Elvis Pobi-Siaw was the main star of the show as he returned to his side with a blistering display from deep in the field.

Ashaiman’s rise marked a cold shooting spell for Heat who couldn’t get going on offense until Fred Yeboah converted from the free throw line midway through the third quarter.

Lions extend its winning run to three in as many games.
