Reformers of Prisons and Ghana Police have clinched wins in Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I games played tonight at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

Reformers piped Ghana Fire Service 69-66 in the opening game before Police clinched a similar game by beating Tudu Magic 46-40.

The win extends Police winning streak to four games while Reformers clinched its second win of the season in five games.

Reformers held a 63-60 lead in the final minutes of the contest and extended it as Point Guard Andrews Ayienab scored from the free throw line.

Fire needed a three point shot desperately to force overtime but couldn’t convert and Ayienab scored one of two throws to clinch the win.

Police maintained its lead through the entire game against home side Magic and like the Reformers-Fire game, free throw in clutch time proved to be the difference.

After Magic Guard Steven Forster tied the game at 40 with a layup and little over two minutes remaining in the game, Police scored six more points to win the game with all six points coming from charity stripe.
