Amida Brimah’s quest to win another league title in the first half of the year has been halted due to Partizan NIS’s failure to make the finals roster.

The team lost 71-83 Crvena Zvedza in Game 2 of the Serbian semifinal playoffs a few hours ago; coupled with Game One’s 62-87 loss to Crvena, Partizan will not compete in the Finals Series in early June.

Had Partizan made it to the final, Brimah would have had the chance to compete for a second league title this season.

Earlier in the year, Brimah won the NBA Gatorade League title with Austin Spurs after beating Raptors 905 in the finals series.

The 6 foot 11 inch player moved to Serbia after the win to feature in the Eastern European country’s top flight basketball playoffs.

Brimah is national champion at College level after winning the NCAA title in 2014 as a member of University of Connecticut.

He will have the chance to compete for third place against the loser in the Borac-FMP Beograd series.
