Braves of Customs have recovered well from a 46-49 loss to Ghana Police Service by delivering a 43-16 win over Dunks Club in the final Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division game of the 2018 first round.
Braves taught the young ladies from Dunks a stern lesson with a ruthless display to end competition in the division with a big victory.
Dunks flaws-inexperience and lack of size-were exposed badly by the veteran laden Braves side who dazzled in the game played earlier tonight at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.
Braves led 19-9 at the end of the second quarter and got points from Anita Bonney and Belinda Tawiah. Dunks Ruth Atibila produced move to get her side on the board in the quarter. Braves headed to the final quarter with a 30-14 lead.
Matilda Gordon scored a layup to give Braves a 40-14 lead with 1: 54 left en route to sealing a big win. With all six teams in the division making six appearances, games in the division will be halted to mark the midseason break.
