Police ends Women’s First Round on top

Ghana Police Service has ended the 2018 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division first round in first place ahead of five other teams.

The team ended the first phase of this season’s competition on a very high note by beating defending league champions Braves of Customs to maintain first place.

Police piped Braves 49-46 in the penultimate round which was honored at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu a few days back.

The win ensures Police hold on to its unblemished record of five wins in five games while ending Braves unbeaten run in the process. Police has 10 wins

Braves sit in second place with nine points with four wins in five games; the team beat Dunks Club 43-16 in the final game of the round.

The pair is followed by Reformers of Prisons and Ghana Fire Service who has seven points apiece but Reformers superior goal difference puts them in third place.

Tudu Galaxy and Dunks round up the final spots in the division. Below is a full breakdown of the standings:
