Former Braves of Customs Center Romeo Wilfried Enan has been named in Ivory Coast’s 16 man preliminary squad for upcoming 2019 FIBA World Cup qualifiers.

The lanky defender who featured for perennial Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I Champions Braves a couple of seasons ago, is in line to make the 12 man team for the games.

The third round of qualifiers takes place in Dakar, Senegal from June 29 to July 1 with Ivory Coast set to face Group D rivals Mozambique, Senegal and Central African Republic.

Ivory Coast has called up experienced playmaker Guy Landri Edi to help the side make the top three and progress to the next stage.

The Elephants are fourth behind Senegal and Mozambique who have five points apiece and Central African Republic in third with four points.

Edi is making a long awaited return to the side after last featuring for Ivory Coast at the 2013 African Championship.

Enan is a former Ghana Basketball Awards category winner and has since featured for teams in Nigeria and Tunisia.
