Ivory Coast Center Romeo Wilfred Enan starred in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I for outfit Braves of Customs and is fighting for a roster spot on his native country’s national team.

Enan is in camp with 15 other players invited by The Elephants to compete in upcoming World Cup matches later this month.

Ivory Coast will be in action from June 29 to July in Dakar, Senegal against the host country, Mozambique and Central African Republic.

The Ivorians lie fourth in Group D behind Senegal, Mozambique and Central African Republic and are in camp preparing for the crucial trip.

The preliminary squad is mainly made up of players who played at the 2017 African Nations Championship (AfroBasket) and returning veteran Guard Guy Edi Landry.

Enan is hoping to make the final cut and try to get Ivory Coast to finish among the top three to progress to the final round of qualification.

Top three teams from four groups will play in the round to determine the five teams to make it to China next year.
