“Fire Day” coming to ABL on Thursday

The Accra Basketball League (ABL) 2018 season continues with games lined up later this week starting on Thursday July 19.

Games will be played on Friday and conclude on Saturday with leaders in the Men’s Division I-Braves of Customs- and Women’s Division-Ghana Police Service- set to play Police and Dunk respectively.

However, the opening day has Ghana Fire Service teams in the league in action at the Prisons Court in Cantonments on Thursday.

Fire’s Female side will be action against Braves with the game tipping off at 16:00 GMT and will be followed by the Male side’s tough encounter against Tudu Magic.

The Ladies team ranks fourth in the six team Women’s standings while the Male side is seventh in the nine team Men’s Division I.

The Men’s team lost 50-73 to league leaders Braves in the last round but the female side clinched an important 44-26 win over Tudu Galaxy.

Both teams started the season on a sour note but have fared fairly better as the campaign progresses.
