The Greater Accra Region has announced players who will represent the region at this year’s National Unity Games which starts in a matter of days.

Players including Tema Youth duo Kwame Boamah Djan and Kent Fosu and DC Dynamics Captain Dennis Boateng have been picked.

The multi sport tournament commences on August 12 at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape-Coast and is set to have repress from Ghana’s ten regions compete.

The announcement was marked by a distinct absence of contracted to security service teams playing in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I.

Players from Reformers of Prisons, Ghana Police Service, Ghana Fire Service and Ghana Customs were not included in the region’s roster.

Per information reaching Basketballghana.com, players on such teams will be picked to form a “Security Service” team to play in the games.

As such, players like Police Guard Emmanuel Dickson, Braves Shooting Guard Baniba Dodzie and Fire’s Gilbert Wood are in line to get a call up.

Competition in the ABL returns on August 23.
