The Tema Community 4 Basketball Team will organize a five day camp for young individuals at the community’s main court later this week.

The camp starts on Monday August 13 and ends on Friday August 17 with the basketball drills broken down at the Community 4 Court popularly known as the Chinese Court.

Targeted participants range between ages 8-16 and Junior High and Senior High School students on break respectively.

However, there is more to be given to participants beyond basketball as camp leader Kent Fosu stated in a chat with Basketballghana.com

“Nurses would also be around to give talks about drug abuse, teenage pregnancy and other social vices to the campers” he said.

The aim of the camp is to build the skill level of players and young individuals interested to play the sport. Tema Community 4 has been involved in similar youth driven programs for several years.

Community 4 has been a constant presence in the Tema Community Basketball League Junior Tournaments and won last year’s version.
