Fire (red) v Braves
Galaxy (white) beat Braves in last season’s opening round.

Defending Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division Champions Braves of Customs 2018 season has gone from bad to worse following a 52-54 loss to Reformers of Prisons.

The two point loss is Braves fourth of the season in 10 games making it one of the worst seasons in the all powerful team’s run in Ghana’s elite division.

The game was played at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu far from the Reformers Prisons home court in Cantonments earlier this weekend.

Despite suffering losses to the likes of Tudu Galaxy last season, Braves were largely untroubled through its run to another league title.

However this season around, matters have been different as Ghana Police Service’s return has presented a major problem.

Police leads the league ahead of Braves and are yet to be beaten after making eight appearances; Police has won the series after recording two straight wins over Braves.

Ghana Fire Service and Reformers have piled on the losses on Braves with stinging losses as well.
