Reformers of Prisons missed a golden opportunity to move up the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division standings.

The team failed to clinch a win over Ghana Fire Service in a game played at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu in the final game in the division.

Fire clinched a 49-45 win over Prisons to close the gap on Reformers in the standings to just one point after the big result.

Second placed Braves of Customs and Prisons are tied on 16 points following Prisons loss but a win would have given Reformers 17 points.

The win gives Fire Service 16 points in nine games compared to Prisons 10 game outing this season; beating Prisons highlights Fire’s improved form in the second round of the 2018 season.

No positions changed in reference to remaining teams in the division as Dunk Knights sits in last place with 11 points after losing 11-29 to Tudu Galaxy.

Galaxy lie fifth and Ghana Police Service continues to lead the league. Below is the full breakdown of the standings:
