Fire (red) v Police

Ghana Police Service dominated Ghana Fire Service earlier today at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu in the opening game of the CAP 7 Memorial Basketball Tournament.

Police showed why it is yet to lose a game all season by running over Fire courtesy a 63-35 win to tip off the nine day competition.

The game was played with a host of elite figures in Ghana basketball in attendance including Accra Basketball League (ABL) Representatives Alex Kukula and Alexander Tindani and Ghana National team Head Coach Lawal Brimah.

The competition has been put together in honour of former ABL Chairman Benjamin Baafi who passed away a year ago.

Police raced off to a blistering start registering a 32-14 first half lead and maintained the double digit lead to clinch the win.

Three members of Ghana’s Female 3×3 Team that recently played at the FIBA Africa 3×3 Zone 3 Championship in Benin featured for Police.

The trio including Barikisu Saleem got a ton of help from Point Guard Mavis Mantey in the big win. Police takes on Tudu Galaxy next on Sunday September 16 and Fire plays Galaxy on Tuesday September18 at the same venue.
