Bentil to feature in big game tonight in Greece

Ghana Forward Ben Bentil will be in action later tonight for Peristeri GS when the side takes on Panathinaikos in the Greek A1 Basketball League.

The game is the biggest matchup in Week 8 of the 2018-2019 season and features the top two teams in the 14 team standings.

Peristeri has won all seven games played this season beating Lavrio 87-78 in its last appearance; Peristeri leads the league in its first year since returning to the elite division.

Panathinaikos has six wins in six games this season. The team and bitter rival Olympiakos have played a game fewer due to the duo’s participation in European competition.

The team features former Memphis Grizzlies Guard Nick Calathes on its roster who is averaging 7.8 points and 6.3 assists per game.

Former Boston Celtics Forward Bentil is averaging 10.4 points and 5.3 rebounds in his first season with Peristeri and in Greece.

The 6 foot 8 player has been a nomad in his brief professional career playing in France, Spain and China.
