Pope John Senior High School and Junior Seminary (POJOSS) Basketball Coach Kofi Elias has called for support from well wishers ahead of the 2019 Sprite Ball Championship.

POJOSS has qualified to represent the Eastern Region alongside rival Koforidua Senior High Technical School (KSTS) in Ghana’s biggest High School Basketball Tournament.

Both schools are set to play in the Boys Division from January 11-12 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra. 10 other schools are set to compete in the Division.

Elias made the call in his exclusive chat with Basketballghana.com after confirming POJOSS return to Sprite Ball via topping the regional games.

“We are coming in strong…all the fans should come in their numbers to support Pope John Senior High and we will make them proud” he said.

Despite being a consistent force over the years, POJOSS has failed to make it to the national final game; the team has featured at the semifinals in three straight years.

POJOSS has won two bronze medals during this run.
