Shama Senior High School is back on track according to Headmistress Theresa Dickens after securing a spot at the 2019 Sprite Ball Championship.
The school’s Female Basketball Team clinched the Western Region’s sole ticket to Ghana’s biggest high school basketball tournament.
Seven other schools will compete alongside Shama in the Female Division in the upcoming edition set to run from January 11-12 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
After failing to represent the region in the past two editions, Shama beat 2018 National Bronze Medalist Ahantaman Senior High School in the regional final.
Speaking during Western Regional leg of the Sprite Ball Trophy Tour, Headmistress Dickens stated:
“Shama Senior High School is back on track and is going to do the trick that enabled us to win to become the regional champions”.
Coach Paul Ampaw added representatives from the other regions should be prepared to see his side “is bringing the (Sprite Ball) trophy back”.
St. John’s School and Sekondi College are the Western Region’s representatives in the Boys Division.
