2018 Sprite Ball Champions Kumasi Girls.
This year’s Sprite Ball Championship is four days away from commencing at the El Wak Stadium in Accra with the final set to be played on January 12.

20 schools have qualified to compete in Ghana’s biggest high school basketball competition; 12 in the Boys Division and eight in the Girls Division.

The participating schools represent six regions in all but the Eastern and Western Regions are the sects without a past winner of the competition.

The Ashanti, Greater Accra, Volta and Central Regions have hand representatives win the coveted trophy in either the Boys or Girls Division.

Reigning Boys Division Champions Osu-PRESEC represents Greater Accra Region while Girls Division winners Kumasi Girls Senior High School is from the Ashanti Region.

The best performing sides from the Western Region are Ahantaman Girls Senior High School, GSTS and St. John’s School. All three schools have won bronze.

KSTS and Pope John Senior High are the Eastern Region’s best teams in the tournament with the former clinching a silver and three bronze medals and the latter winning two bronze medals.
