Mfantseman Girls Senior High School Basketball Team Ernest Koomson remains resolute in his belief Mfantseman will triumph at this year’s Sprite Ball Championship despite getting drawn in a tough group.
The 2019 Sprite Ball Championship is due to run from January 11-12 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra with 12 competing schools in the Boys Division and eight schools in the Girls Division.
Mfantseman is the sole representative of the Central Region in the Girls Division marking its return to the elite tournament after a two year absence.
However, the school has been drawn in Group A alongside defending champions Kumasi Girls Senior High School, Mawuli Senior High School and West Africa Senior High School.
Speaking to Basketballghana.com exclusively, Coach Koomson who has a bronze medal at Ghana’s biggest high school basketball tournament on his portfolio was not perturbed by the daunting task ahead.
“We are ready for the Championship and I must say one more time This is our time. We will emerge as champions come 12th January, 2019” he said.
