Presbyterian Senior High School (Osu-PRESEC) Male Basketball Team Captain Emmanuel Ojuku Awumiwe has stated his side will bring the same mindset that got them the 2018 Sprite Ball Championship to this year’s competition.

He made this statement during an interview on Ghana channel TV3’s Morning Show “New Day” earlier today ahead of the 2019 tournament.

This year’s edition runs from January 11-12 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra with Osu-PRESEC as defending champions following the school’s shock 25-22 win over Mfantsipim School in the 2018 Final game.

Flanked by Osu-PRESEC’s Physical Education Department Head Jonathan Bulley, Awumiwe was clear about the team’s approach for this weekend’s competition.

“I have to motivate my guys as we did last year…this is my third time so I want to motivate them, same strength, same energy, use the same mind set (and) beat everybody we meet, no joke on the court” he said.

Awumiwe was a member of the successful 2018 group that won the school’s maiden Sprite Ball title.
