Leading Ghanaian sports firm Rite Sports Limited is on the move again as its second major program this year is set to roll out soon.
The company recently wrapped up the 13th edition of Sprite Ball Championship at the El Wak Stadium in Accra with Mfantsipim School and Kumasi Girls Senior High School winning the Boys and Girls Divisions respectively.
The tournament is Ghana’s biggest high school basketball event and has been the stable of the nation’s biggest talents in the sport.
Next up on the itinerary is the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship set to commence in February.
Like Sprite Ball, UPAC is the top event at the tertiary educational level in Ghana and its uniqueness id down to having representatives from all three sects at the tertiary level.
Public Universities, Private Universities or Colleges, Technical Universities/ Polytechnics, Education and Health Colleges are eligible to participate in the competition.
The upcoming edition is to run between February and April this year with University of Ghana as defending champions.
