Marshalls University College is set to play in Zone 3 of this year’s Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship qualifiers.

However, Marshalls preparations in the lead up to the 2019 edition has been less boisterous than that of last year’s edition.

After placing second in the 2017 UPAC, Marshalls were supremely confident of having another deep run in Ghana’s biggest tertiary basketball tournament.

On the other hand, the Coach James Okine led team crashed out early after losing to Ghana Technology University College (GTUC) to miss the quarterfinals.

Prior to its maiden appearance in this year’s competition, Marshalls preparations have been low key and is a completely different approach to the upcoming games.

Marshalls play in Zone 3 on Saturday, March 16 at the Regent University College against the Host team, KAAF University College and Accra Institute of Technology.

Failure to qualify beyond the zonal stage marked a low point for Marshalls who had made the semifinals in previous editions.
