Sprite Ball participant Adu equals Nat’l High Jump Record

Prempeh College Forward Kelvin Adu has equaled the National High Jump Record at the Senior High School Level Basketballghana.com can confirm.

Adu cleared the bar at 2.02 Meters at the recently held Inter Schools and Colleges Games at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Ghana’s Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi.

His amazing feat won him the top prize in the event; the National record was set in 2009 in the West African nation’s capital, Accra.

Earlier this year, Adu got to show off his incredible bounce in Accra at the 2019 Sprite Ball Championship with Prempeh College at the El Wak Stadium.

Two sport star Adu was influential as Prempeh qualified in second at the regional games to progress to the national event but was injured in the quarterfinal loss to Presbyterian Senior High School (PRESEC-Osu).

Prempeh lost 20-22 to the 2018 Sprite Ball Champions after mounting a sterling comeback from 0-11 deficit in the opening minutes of the game.

PRESEC went on to place fourth at the 2019 Sprite Ball which was won by Mfantsipim School.
