Tetteh in action for Radford against UPSA
Radford (yellow) v GTUC

Radford University College Captain Godwin Tetteh envisages the quarterfinals of this year’s Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship wont be easy.

He expressed this in an interview with Baskteballghana.com after leading his side to win Zone 7 in this year’s UPAC Championship.

Radford University beat 2018 Zone 7 winners Ghana Technology University College (GTUC) 31-26, University of Professional Studies (UPSA) 42-31 and Islamic University College 41-27 respectively to top the zone.

In the process, Radford University qualified to the UPAC quarterfinals for the first time ever but Tetteh believes the task will get tougher at the knockout phase.

“How easy the game was for us, I don’t think it’s going to be an easy game for us in the quarterfinals. We are going to come hard, we are going to play well” he said.

Prior to qualifying to the quarterfinals, Radford competed in the Private Universities Sports Association Games (PUSAG) a few days earlier and placed third. The quarterfinals take place on April 11 and 12 with the semifinals and final game set for April 13 at the University of Ghana.

This year’s UPAC is sponsored by CAL Bank and MTN.
