Alston Shizz
Aflakpui

Ghana Power Forward Ernest Aflakpui is set to graduate from Temple University later this year after spending four years at the renowned institution.

Aflakpui played for The Owls and saw a significant uptick in minutes this past season in the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Men’s Basketball Regular Season.

After a 70-81 loss to Belmont University in the post season where Aflakpui scored seven points and nine rebounds, the 6 foot 10 inch player’s run came to an end.

Aflakpui and starting Guard Alston Shizz Jnr. will leave the program alongside long tenured Coach Fran Durphy who has been replaced by former NBA player Aaron McKie.

Alston and Aflakpui were starters on Temple’s 2018-2019 roster with Alston leading the team in scoring with 19 points and 5.2 assists in 36.7 minutes per game.

Aflakpui on the other hand, played 21.7 minutes and averaged 5.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game this season. Ernest led Temple in rebounds this season.

Temple University has to recruit well to replace the pair next season.
