KNUST v Marshalls (black)
Marshalls University College has been eliminated from the 2019 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.

The 2017 Silver medal winners Marshalls are on the brink of exiting this year’s UPAC competition after suffering a 37-42 loss to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science of Technology (KNUST).

The loss is Marshalls University’s second straight in Group B of this year’s UPAC quarterfinals after losing to Radford University College.

KNUST led 25-24 at the end of the third quarter and proceeded to capitalize on Marshalls poor decision making in the final quarter.

Marshalls has a tough game against Accra Technical University (ATU) in the final round to try to manage a win in the sixth edition of the UPAC Championship.

ATU on the other hand, needs a win to guarantee passage to the semifinals after suffering a shock loss to KNUST.

The Group’s other qualification spot is up for grabs in the game between KNUST and Radford University.

This year’s UPAC is sponsored by CAL Bank and MTN.
