Kawukudi Warriors will feel hard done by inconsistent play midway through the second and third quarters in its close loss to Tema Youth in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I matchup played at the Prisons Court in Cantonments, Accra.
Warriors lost 70-72 in an entertaining game that had Kawukudi trail 30-39 at the end of the first half and 51-61 in the third quarter respectively.
Tema looked out sorts in the final half of the fourth quarter with Forward Kwame Boamah Djan fouling out of the game with 5:51 minutes left to play.
Warriors took advantage of the absence of the athletic interior man to tie the game at 67 and move clear off Tema via a 70-67 lead with Amos Ollenu and Obed Vorjee scoring baskets.
However, Tema got back in the game and took the lead after converting shots from the free throw line to clinch its second win in two games.
Warriors on the other hand, fall to its third loss in as many appearances this season.
