D’Tigers are scheduled to play Dominican Republic and Canada in July and August and a yet to be confirmed opponent in Lagos before moving to China for the World competition.
In China, Nigeria will compete in a pre tournament involving some World Cup bound teams from August 21-26. The World Cup runs from August 31 to September 15.
According to Federation President Kida, these friendly games are sure to improve Nigeria’s play at the competition.
“We have locked down 2 grade A games with Dominican Republic and Canada who will both be at the World Cup. These games… we believe, will provide quality tests for the team” he said in a chat with aclsports.
Nigeria will compete in Group B at the preliminary stage against Argentina, Russia and South Korea. The former African Champions is one five African countries to compete in China.
