Closely knit duo Ghana Navy and Kawukudi Warriors starred in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) games played earlier tonight at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.
The pair clinched wins in the Women’s Division and Men’s Division I respectively over Ghana Air Force and Ghana Police Service.
Navy beat Air Force 34-25 after a big third quarter performance had them lead 31-16 heading to the fourth quarter. In the first half, Air Force stayed close to Navy only trailing by two points (10-12) at the end of the second quarter.
Warriors clinched their first win in the 2019 season by stunning Ghana Police 64-47 in the last of three games played at the venue today.
A terrible start hurt Police very badly with the latter trail 5-22 at the end of the third quarter but fared better in the second and third quarters only to fall further behind in the fourth quarter. This is Police’s second loss in three games.
In the Men’s Division II, Ada clinched a 57-46 win over Dunk in the battle of the Knights. Ada sealed its first win in the new season but condemn Dunk to its first loss. A brief downpour delayed the start of the second and third games.
