Ghana Air Force played a fairly competitive game in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division against Braves of Customs up until the second half where the side was soundly beaten at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.
Air Force lost 24-60 to Braves in the latter’s first game since returning from Kenya where the team played in friendly games including one against Kenya’s National Female Team.
Braves lost 18-56 to Kenya but the win over Air Force is Braves third of the season including an 89-14 win over University of Ghana (UG).
The third quarter ended 38-20 for Braves as Grace Yinamyah scored five points to end the quarter including a three pointer.
Braves came out of the break on fire scoring 12 straight points with Afia Kobi, Matilda Gordon and 15 getting on the board.
Air Force got points off layups inside the paint but had no answer to Gloria Gyampoh Gallo and 15 who combined for a big run to end the game winning 60-24.
